Lions Year 2020/2021

Dear Fellow Lions Dignatories and Members,

I am deeply honoured and humbled to be given the opportunity to serve as the 26th President for the Lions Club of Singapore Clarke Quay.

First, let us acknowledge and recognise the great work done by Immediate Past President Jennifer Ong and her Board of Directors 2019-2020.

Next, I'd like to thank CP John Tan, PDG William Kwok, 2VDG SK Ho, all Past Presidents and Fellow Members for all the efforts and resources you have put in, to make Clarke Quay strong and proud. Thank you for placing your trust and confidence in me as your next Club President.

I sincerely want to thank the incoming board members for their willingness to serve with me on this term's board. I am looking forward to an interesting and successful term with your active participation and involvement in various projects and activities. We should be continuing with our current signature projects like the vegetable collection at the Pasir Panjang Wholesale Centre that will benefit more than 4000 needy, and the Hair and Nail services for SAC seniors.

All of us joined Lion Movement because we want "to serve", to help needy families and poor people, and to give back to society and communities. I am confident that together, our team will continue to Serve these communities with Love and Sincerity.

Because of COVID-19, this term will be challenging. I will make sure that we continue to build on the good work of previous Boards in organising service projects, while keeping us safe and healthy from COVID-19, and ensuring that our Board of Directors meetings are conducted efficiently and effectively. Membership retention and growth continues to be the central concern for our club and many others. This is also one of the areas that we will continue to work on despite the challenges caused by less face-to-face interaction due to COVID-19 restrictions.

I look forward to work with all Club Members with humility and compassion, integrity, commitment and passion with the right mindset and attitude. I will do my best to humbly serve with love and sincerity and I look forward to the continued support from all of you. I believe we will be able to achieve our goals, to serve together, and take great pride in being a Lion in Clarke Quay.
